December 21: Annual Longest Night Memorial


Light and Transformation:  Picture the Homeless for our annual Interfaith Memorial Service  dedicated to our homeless brothers and sisters who have passed away this year. Some we know their names, many we don't--but none are forgotten.  December 21 Hosted by Judson Memorial Church 55 Washington Square South  6:00 to 7:30 pm, Interfaith Memorial Service followed by refreshments and fellowship, 7:30pm until 9pm <img width="522" height="392" alt="" src="/home/pictur11/public_html/blog/files/image/candles%20potters.jpg"

Only in the midst of great turmoil is great change possible. It is the obstacles, the adversities in life that, when faced and overcome, yield the strongest rewards. The Great Depression of the 21st Century is indeed a tragedy, and we can choose to look at it as just that and bemoan the cruel deterministic wheel of fortune that is capitalism. Or we can capitalize on this opportunity, organize ourselves and take steps toward forging the type of society that benefits not just the self-proclaimed elite, but all men and women.
