PTH on CNN again, in The Nation again, and more recent press

CNN en Espanol ran this piece on December 21, about Picture the Homeless's perspective and struggle to challenge the NYC shelter system and push for truly-affordable housing for the city's poorest.

[ Previous video segments, from the summer, on CNN (English) & CNN en Espanol featuring PTH, are here. ]

PTH was featured again in The Nation magazine's Ten Things feature, as part of "Ten Things for the Holidays."

[ A summer PTH feature in The Nation, "Ten Things You Need to Know to Live on the Streets," is here. ]

PTH's Rob Robinson was interviewed for this policy roundtable on NYC homelessness in City Limits.

It's great to see our July tent city action featured on the Fall 2009 cover of Progressive Planning magazine, which contains a great article on the Right to the City alliance we're part of.

NYC's Indypendent newspaper is well-known for covering community issues and grassroots struggles like no other paper, and they've long stayed tuned to what PTH'ers face by listening to our homeless members tell it themselves.  Check out some of their latest items:  A profile on Linda, facing disgraceful "pay to stay" shelter policies  --  a piece on the city's denial of the right to shelter  --  and a featuring of another great multimedia piece (on PTH's Housing campaign) from the inspired project Housing is a Human Right.

We were also happy to have PTH's 10th Anniversary Gala written up in the Amsterdam News and Caribbean Life newspapers... onward into 2010!
